Erosion Control & Bank Protection: Construction of the road and embankment along the Southern bank of the Cai River to mitigate erosion and protect the riverbank and adjacent residential areas.
Transport Network Completion: Completion of the regional transport network by connecting 2/4 Road, Ring Road 2, and the salinity prevention dam, thereby improving accessibility and transport mobility.
Infrastructure & Landscape Enhancement: Improvement of drainage infrastructure, lighting, and greenery – contributing to the enhancement of living conditions and the urban landscape, in alignment with the objectives of the “Coastal Cities Sustainable Environment Project – Nha Trang Sub-project”.

World Bank (WB) ODA loans combined with the counterpart funds from Khanh Hoa Provincial Budget.
Classification of Works:
South Cai River Bank Road: Regional transport road, Grade III.
South Cai River Bank Embankment: Agriculture and Rural Development works (Hydraulic works), Grade IV.
Technical Solutions:
Roadworks: Filled roadbed; pavement structure designed in sections with varying load-bearing capacity requirements.
Embankment: Utilizes Reinforced Concrete (RC) gravity retaining walls and Prestressed Concrete (PC) sheet piles; anchored by a PHC-D500mm spun concrete pile system.
Scour Protection: The embankment toe is reinforced against scouring using gabion boxes.
Landscape & Utilities:
Development of parks, greenery, and lighting systems.
Irrigation water supply system (utilizing both municipal water and boreholes) to create a continuous landscape strip along the riverbank.
Funding Source: World Bank (WB) ODA loans combined with the counterpart funds from Khanh Hoa Provincial Budget
