Establish a safe storm shelter anchorage for fishing vessels on the Song Tac River to mitigate losses of life and assets during typhoons and tropical depressions.
Upgrade and expand Hon Ro Fishing Port to enhance handling capacity and fishery logistics services.
Improve the port environment by installing a wastewater collection and treatment system meeting Grade A standards, and implementing solar power solutions to optimize operational costs.
PROJECT SCALE AND SCOPE
1. Anchorage Area Scale:
- Dredging: Area of approximately 69 ha, depth of -5.0 m; navigation channel width of 60 m.
- Mooring Auxiliary System: Installed 273 mooring buoys, arranged for various vessel size groups.
- Aids to Navigation (AtoN) System: 59 signal buoys and 16 signal beacons.
2. Hon Ro Fishing Port:
- Wharf Expansion: Extension and widening works (including connecting sections); Reinforced Concrete (RC) structure on PHC piles.
- Synchronous Equipment: Installation of wharf canopy, wheel stops (curbs), fenders, and bollards.
3. Environment & Energy:
- Wastewater Treatment: Renovation and upgrade of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) capacity to 300 m³/day; utilizing combined technologies of MBBR, UASB, lamella settling, and pressure filtration.
- Solar Energy: Installation of a 164.4 kWp solar power system (411 panels, covering an area of approx. 896 m²).
4. Total Estimated Cost:
Approximately 249.998 billion VND (inclusive of contingency and taxes).
PROJECT MILESTONES & LEGAL STATUS

05/12/2022: The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) approved the Investment Project (Decision No. 4695/QĐ-BNN-TCTS).

22–29/08/2023: The Department of Fisheries issued the Appraisal Results for the Construction Drawing Design and Cost Estimates.

19–21/09/2023:

T27 Consulting JSC completed the Construction Drawing Design dossier implemented following the Basic Design.

An Viet JSC verified the design and cost estimates.

10/2023: Khanh Hoa Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) issued the Decision approving the Construction Design implemented following the Basic Design.

Current Status: The Design Dossier implemented following the Basic Design and the Detailed Total Cost Estimates have been completed. The project now meets the conditions to serve as the basis for contractor selection and construction implementation.
